Potential Patriotism

Alright, I know I’m lagging but I’m going to call this the learning curve portion of this blog where I fuck up a little here and there but then it all comes together in the end. How optimistic! This post is 1 part thought stream and 1 part god awful first fashion post (what did I tell you about that learning curve).

Thought stream: Part of the reason why it’s so hard to get my butt in gear to blog for myself is because I blog and run social media amongst countless other duties for a fashion company by day. Since this is what I spend most of my time doing…and I think it’s mighty interesting, I’m going to create a sub-blog called Behind The Hangers where I rant and rave about my workings on the daily.

Now for that style post you’ve been waiting for…what I learned this week…I’m not a model. In other news…now that everyone is coming down from there big 4th of July high, I thought I would shove in one last patriotic post before it get’s forgotten until Labor Day. I went for the subtlest of looks to show off a little red, white and blue.

Simplicity is key. I'm not that into wearing my flag on my sleeve so this Charlie Brown shirt was perfect.

Paired with some vintage denim jeans and a simple black belt, the outfit went from "let's hang in your trailer" to "this boxed wine is delicious".

Just incase you were wondering was a close up of my torso area looks like.

I finished off the look with my favorite pair of Jeffrey Campbells. Nothing says let's have a picnic in the grass more than beige crochet platforms.

What I’m wearing: Vintage Peanut’s tank top (that’s a brand…it’s not vintage) // Vintage Levi’s shorts ($10 at the Rose Bowl Flea Market) // BDG black skinny belt // arm candy for days // Jeffrey Campbell Beige Lace Tan Lita //
